Music Highlights

Gigs

16 January | Royal Academy audition workshop. We were delighted to be joined by two students from RAM who performed to us and showed us what life at music college is like

19 January | Joint Evensong with Eton College Choir. Chiswick Voices sang a joint Evensong with the Choir of Eton College in their stunning Chapel. They were incredibly nice hosts and we may well be the first ever non-selective school to sing there. Watch a rehearsal here.

28 January | Orchestral concert. We had 51 kids tooting away, sometimes incredibly loudly, in our main hall. Youssef and Mylu also did mesmerising solos. Catch up here.

22 January | New Songs Open Mic Night. 14 great new songs from Chiswick’s community of budding songwriters. This is where the hits of tomorrow begin.

24 January | Uncle Dynamite put on another scintillating instalment of their all- original rock music at The Lord Nelson in Brentford. (The food there is quite something and well worth a visit)

27 January | Chiswick Voices sang excerpts from Faure’s Requiem at the Holocaust Memorial Service

30 January | We Survived Ofsted January. No Refund, Thirteen and SoulCage took over The George and Devonshire for a night of celebration at the end of a ‘robust’ week. Catch up here.

31 January | An Evening with the Musketeers. Everyone’s favourite Alexandre-Dumas-Tribute-Band took the hall over on Friday evening for a mix of classic covers and other classic covers. More to come on Feb 28th. Catch up here.

4 February | Senior Recital Evening. A really touching evening, with many people performing solos for their first time, even in Y13. There was a hit brother-sister duet from Youssef and Nelly, and we also heard Mojtaba play his Tar, getting us ready for our Persian evening on 25 March. Catch up here.

7 February | Uncle Dynamite have a habit of following a Lord Nelson gig with an immediate G&D gig for those of us too lazy to travel to Brentford, this habit duly continued with more all-original rock music.

12 February | Cronos did their first ever solo show at the City Barge with a mix of their classics and some new songs too, Carnage also supported.
