Year 12 Art National Portrait Gallery Workshop

On January 30th, Year 12 A Level Art students took part in an artist-led workshop at the National Portrait Gallery followed by an afternoon exploring the collection and responding to the workshop theme with sketchbook drawing.

Students investigated identity through portraiture and viewed a wide range of historical and contemporary portraits in the Gallery. The students' drawings from the day have been added workshop to their foundation projects, developing their understanding of identity in Art and the value of sketchbook drawing in preparation for their personal investigation project.
