Year 11 History Trip to Berlin

58 History students in Year 11 had the time of their lives on a three day school trip to Berlin. We visited sites and memorials linked to the Weimar and Nazi periods in Berlin, as well as some crucial Cold War events. From a very moving morning at Sachsenhausen Memorial (a former concentration camp), to long walks around the city, to a very competitive evening of bowling, we were never bored and always busy! The students impressed us with their engagement and thoughtful attitude all weekend, taking a genuine interest in learning more about their surroundings, bravely practising their German and taking care to look after each other on some very long days. The trip was a huge success and we look forward to taking the current Year 10s next year!
