BackPE update
The summer term has seen a return of our summer sports program which includes, cricket club, rounders club and athletics club. This is alongside our gymnastics, boxing, table tennis, badminton and fitness club which will continue as normal.
Well done and good luck to the Year 7 football team who have made it to the Hounslow league cup final which will be played in the first week of June. Congratulations also to the Year 8 and 9 girls' football team who have been asked to represent Hounslow in the London Youth Games.
Athletics season is upon us and already Chiswick have had lots of success with second place finishes in the super 8s for the Year 8, 9 and 10 girls' teams. The borough Athletics event for Year 9 and 10 saw many winners such as Naira (high jump), Ava (300m), Claude (400), Zainab (javelin) Winter (shot put) and Ryan (javelin). There are plenty more event coming up!
Chiswick school got the final of the u14 girls quad sculls event at the Chiswick Regatta. They narrowly lost to Emmanuel School after beating Tiffin in the round before. Well done to Roxanne, Eloise, Naira and Sophie who represented the school brilliantly.
A huge well done to Suvian who successfully trialled for the Hounslow badminton team and will be competing in upcoming borough tournaments.
The PE facilities have been updated this term with the cricket nets being renovated and the long jump pit and run up being redone. This will help massively with both extra curricular clubs and events as well as within lesson time.
We are looking forward to the return of hosting primary school sports days at Chiswick School. The first event taking place on our field will be the Grove Park sports day. Each event is supported and run by Year 8 Chiswick School sports leaders. Congratulations to all those who have been nominated to take part.
