Raising money for MIND
On Friday 20th December, our lovely representative from the Charity MIND came in to receive the cheque for all our fundraising. You will remember that each form in Year 7 raised money through a bake sale that they organised. We also had a Year 7 and 8 Disco and the proceeds went towards the total raised.
Overall, we made a staggering £1,053.59 for the charity. Billy, one of our site team, was our biggest donator over the weeks and the students gave him a present as a small token of our appreciation. He even dressed up as an elf for the occasion!
We are so proud of all the efforts of the students who are now asking if they can raise more money in different ways... bring it on!
The next stage of our work with MIND is student and parent action planning. We are excited to start this work during this half term - training some of our students to be Mental Health Ambassadors.
