Year 7 Welcome Evening
What a wonderful event this was, for all who came!
Over 200 parents came to a social event to meet the Year 7 tutors, as their first point of call at school. Tutors see their tutees at the start of every day and build up trusting relationships with the children, particularly as they go up the school together.
The PTA ran a well- stocked bar (although there was a concern there was not any Prosecco at this event!!) and earned a healthy profit, which goes straight back to the school to help support extra curricular projects. Chef served a delicious chilli and, for the first time ever, there was none left over!!
Lots of parents signed up to join the PTA, more than we’ve had in any other year. I really think that PTA quizzes and social events will be dominated by Year 7 parents… watch this space!
