Music Highlights

The (Re)Q(union) - Friday 20 Sep

What a start to the year. We had Mermaid, Don’t You Even Think About It Baby, Never Let Me Go, Passenger, I’m a Man, and all of the classics in one big last show for this phenomenal band. We saw a return of Jamie on Bass and all of the other antics of The Q. Apparently some people still have videos of their first ever performance…..

The Musketeers at the City Barge

A New Year 11 band (who’d have thought!) making their debut at the City Barge. Skye in Year 9 warmed up the crowd excellently with Dream a Little Dream of Me, before our pampered ears were blown wide open by Harry Joel and Zion. Particular shout out to Zion who performed in his first full show, having only taken up the drums a year earlier.

Choral Scholars start at St Nicholas Church

Chiswick School now provides the Choir at St Nicholas Church on Sunday mornings. What really happened is that Melina, Emma, Harry and Jean have always secretly wanted to wear long blue cloaks on a Sunday morning and their big break has come. They will be leading the congregation and singing the anthem two Sundays a month this academic year.

Scholarships - apply by Sunday 6th October

If you have or know any friends who have a child in Year 6 who qualifies for Pupil Premium funding (free school meals), they are eligible to apply for a music scholarship, which guarantees free music lessons and a place at the school, regardless of catchment area location. Apply here.
