Gigs

A Bit of Everything - 9 June

Emma and Melina did their first solo show at the Tabard Theatre to a packed audience. We had folk songs, piano duets, baritone Ukuleles and even some sitar music. They both even made a small profit from ticket sales.

Brass Masterclass - 12 June

With kudos to Mr Richardson for fixing the gig, we had Aaron Azuda Akugbo come to Chiswick to give a masterclass with our brass students. He made his solo debut at the BBC proms last year, so coming to Chiswick was a great step up for his career. Shout out to Maya PC, Lily C, and Maisie C for their solos.

Jazz Band in Turnham Green - 12 June

Later in the evening, the Jazz band played as a supporting act to his concert.

St Mary’s Care Home - 14 July

Chiswick Voices performed some wholesome lunchtime music to our friends down the road.

Dark Riders Summer Fair

Despite the horrible weather, Dark Riders Performed at Strand on the Green Summer Fair.

Dichterliebe - 18 June

Zach T and Youssef G did one of the most jaw- dropping concerts of the year at St Nicks, earning a well-deserved standing ovation. Youssef did six incredibly demanding classical guitar pieces, and Zach followed with Schumann’s 16-song cycle: Dichterliebe.

Open Mic Night - 19 June

A great open mic night at the City Barge where lots of KS3 students made their performing debuts.

Kew Sinfonia - 22 June

Emily, Sophie and Art played a full Tchaikovsky suite with the Kew Sinfonia at their Summer concert. There were many weeks of (metaphorical) blood, sweat, tears, and three hour rehearsals, but it ended with the most wonderful final product which they should be rightly proud of.

Ark Priory Summer Fair - 22 June

The Musketeers did their first primary school gig and got some neat photos.

Battle of the Bands - 25 June

No Refund represented Chiswick at Hounslow Battle of the Bands, playing Reptilia and I Predict a Riot with a rousing response from the crowd. Sadly Dylan didn’t get the dress code, and turned up to the gig dressed as a giant inflatable pig.

Chiswick Voices Summer Concert - 27 June

Logan had a hula-hooping recital with a couple songs from Chiswick Voices in the background.

Pub in the Park - 29 June

Our Steel Bands, Blue Monday, Performing Arts Choir, and The Q played to thousands of people from 12-8pm for Pub in the Park. Busted have decided to not return next year as nobody came to their stage to hear them.

Summer Festival - 2 July

Certainly the largest crowd we’ve had in a few years, performances from all our bands, and the most glorious summer evening. Huge thanks to Vic Robinson and all the PTA for their work.

Independent Introduction - 4 July

Harry’s latest show at the George and Devonshire, featuring Fly on the Wall, Mr. Brightside, and the complete version of American Pie.

Grove Park - 6 July

Cronos and Blue Monday went back to their Alma Mater to play for their summer fair. They then went straight off to Grove Park Terrace Street Party to play even more.

Cavendish - 13 July

Starlight, BitterSweet, Invasion and the Refreshers played at Cavendish Summer fair, featuring alongside two Disney princesses.

Community Afternoon Tea - 17 July
