BackSenior Maths Challenge
On 7th November 2019, some of our year 10-13 students took part in the Senior Maths Challenge. This is a 90-minute competition for students across the UK which serves as the first stage of selection for the United Kingdom Mathematics Olympiad Team. This year our students did exceptionally well as we had one gold medal, five silver and six bronze. This is the equivalent of one in five Chiswick School students being awarded a medal!
We are thrilled that Ronan from year 12, won a gold medal and has been invited to participate in the next part of the Olympic team selection process. He will compete against the best mathematicians, of similar age, across the country.
Also, our congratulations go to:
Silver medallists: Xing (Year 10), Alex (Year 11), Zayn (Year 10), Jonathan (Year 11) and Ruby (Year 11).
Bronze Medallists: Max (Year 11), Peter (Year 11), Lucas (Year 11), Arafat (Year 10), Zoe (Year 10) and Jackson (year 11).
The overall result makes us feel extremely proud as we witness our students’ high academic accomplishments, while they are transforming into brilliant young adults.
Thank you Chiswick Mathematicians!
