Poems of the Decade Conference
On Monday 24th June Year 12 English students went to the English and Media Centre's Poems of the Decade Conference in central London and met some of their favourite poets from the syllabus! Some of the highlights included a reading and discussion of Patience Agbabi's poetry as well as a slam poetry performance from Harry Baker, World Slam Poetry Champion. Hopefully this experience will have gone some way to lifting the A Level exam from the page and into real life!
