BackHighlights from Performing Arts
2023-24 was an extraordinary year and this year already looks like it is going to be equally successful. We already have five shows planned before Christmas, more details to follow.
We started this year with a community performance outside Turnham Green station. Every four months a new large scale artwork is revealed, and each time we have been asked to perform. Each year we do something different, from dance to small scale "busking". This year we took a large group and performed songs from the Musicals.
The weather was good for the reveal and, as always, the students performed amazingly well. It was also the first time the new Year 7s performed for us. On the first day of term we opened the performing arts department and were delighted that over 60 new students have decided to join us! It was a pleasure to invite them along to our first performance of the year.
Shakespeare at Hounslow Arts Centre
Our first big show of the year will be Hamlet, The Tempest and Macbeth at The Paul Robeson Theatre in Hounslow. This show includes over 70 students and all three plays in one evening. The plays have been specially adapted, and will be performed in different styles.
Tickets are now available and can be found on the Theatre website: theartscentre.co.uk/tickets
