BackWorld Book Day
Literacy is important at Chiswick School so we take every opportunity we can to encourage reading. World Book Day is the perfect opportunity to do that so on Thursday 7th March we celebrated the written word across the school. Year 7 students and staff embraced the instruction to come to school in World Book Day costume and bring the book to match their costume. All years enjoyed “guessing the teacher photos” and seeing what their favourite books were. There were some entertaining guesses across the tutor groups! Supporting literacy is not just about reading long novels; non fiction, graphic novels and short stories all count. It was fantastic to see so many genres and book characters represented across the day. The teacher book recommendations are posted on all of the Google Year Group Classrooms. Please take a look for some inspiration!
