The wonderful school chef, Tom, has kindly agreed to cater for this year’s Quiz Night and will be providing a delicious two course meal (please indicate dietary requirements when you book).
After last year’s success, this year the Quiz will once again be diverse and accessible to all levels of knowledge and Quiz experience!

CAR BOOT SALE NEWS
Every January - the Chiswick Car Boot month “off” - we thank the wonderful group of Car Boot volunteers with a social gathering at our lovely local and (Chiswick School) family-run pub, the Queen’s Head. Leigh-Ann, the current Car Boot Committee lead, welcomed and thanked everyone for their incredible support in 2023, as well as saying a special thank you to long standing, outgoing Car Boot committee member, Laurent, who is leaving London this year.
The Car Boot sale has had a fantastic year, with some record-breaking months in terms of buyer and seller numbers, as well as making it onto the Car Giant’s Top Ten London Car Boot Sale list! Our financial year runs in line with the school year, and at present we look set to raise in excess of £70,000 across the eleven annual sales. WOW!!
Huge thanks to everyone who works tirelessly to run the Car Boot sales, many of whom are alumni parents whose children left the school years ago (including Chiswick School’s very own Ms Werndley’s mum Tina, for example!). These superheroes turn up, sometimes in frozen conditions, in the very small hours of the morning, to support Chiswick School and its students. Extra thanks to the Car Boot Committee, led by Leigh Ann and Isabelle, who do so much behind the scenes, month in, month out, to keep the cogs turning.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered at the first sale of the year, last Sunday 4th. Helping at the monthly sales are a great way to meet other parents and members of the school community, as well as supporting the fundraising efforts: the funds raised from the Car Boot Sales are invaluable to Chiswick School and are used to support projects, resources and experiences for the students, across all departments, and all school years.
The next sale is on March 3rd and we are looking for volunteers!!
UNIFORM SALE: 30th JANUARY
We hosted this term’s second hand uniform at the end of January. The PTA is committed to providing all families with affordable, sustainable second hand uniform, and thank you to everyone who donated unwanted uniform items to the sale.
We had a fantastic turnout of students, and parents, and raised £377.65 for the school!
BIDS MEETING: 5th FEBRUARY
Thank you to everyone who attended this term’s bids’ meeting, where PTA funds were allocated to a range of inspiring activities, workshops and experiences. Full minutes of the meeting will be uploaded to the school website shortly, in the Chiswick PTA section.
PTA BARS: RAISING FUNDS FOR THE CREATIVE ARTS
The PTA supports a number of the Music, Dance, Performing and Creative Arts events, by sharing news of these upcoming events, and also by selling refreshments. The funds raised from these ‘bars’, as well as any additional donations made on the evening, go straight back to the department linked to the event, for them to use as they wish, for resources, event costs, etc.
