Year 7 Teambuilding Day
The Year 7s first day at school was a memorable one! After a morning of getting to know their new tutor, their new form group, a load of administrative tasks like getting their biometrics done for the canteen, they were ready for something different in the afternoon. At Chiswick we understand the importance of community and teamwork so we arranged for an outside teambuilding company to come in to run a fun-packed session in the afternoon. The students were split into groups of 12 and were with some of their form and other students in the year, giving them a chance to meet even more of their new year team. Together they needed to solve a number of problems, puzzles and riddles! It was fantastic to see them consulting and discussing tactics, and watching them grow as a team. It seems that we also have some budding leaders amongst our cohort too! We also had the added challenge that it was one of the hottest days of the year, which our students took in their stride! It only took me half a day to feel immense pride our new Year 7s. It was a great start to the year and I’m confident they’re going to be a fabulous year group!
