BackRewards Week
Rewards Week is an exciting time for students and staff alike. It is a time where we celebrate academic achievements, good behaviour, and overall excellence. Our school has a robust rewards system that allows us to recognise and acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our students. During Rewards Week, our LCOs use data from our rewards system to identify students who would be selected to participate in various activities, including an afternoon of music and roller skating.
The idea of roller skating as a reward for good behaviour may seem unconventional, but it was a huge hit with our students. We transformed our sports hall into a roller skating disco hall, complete with colourful lights and music to set the mood. Students who had never roller skated before were taught the essential foundations, and then they built upon those skills. It was an hour of pure fun on wheels!
As students put on their roller skates and hit the floor, you could see the excitement and anticipation in their faces. Some students were hesitant at first, but with encouragement from their peers and teachers, they quickly gained confidence and began to enjoy themselves. It was heart-warming to see students who may not have had the opportunity to participate in roller skating before, having the time of their lives.
The music was a big part of the experience, as well. The upbeat and energetic tunes added to the overall ambiance of the skating rink, and students could be seen singing and dancing along as they skated around. It was a great way for students to let loose and have fun with their peers outside of the traditional classroom setting.
Overall, the afternoon of music and roller skating was a huge success. It was a unique and exciting way to reward our students for their hard work and good behaviour throughout the year. The experience provided an opportunity for students to try something new, build their confidence, and have fun with their friends. We look forward to continuing to find innovative ways to reward our students and create memorable experiences for them.
