BackAnother successful PTA Quiz Night
The Quiz Night came back with a bang this term! With a record turnout from parents, teachers and friends, it was a joy to be back together (in person!) as a community, to share food, drinks, conversation and, most crucially, to battle it out for the winners’ title in the most challenging of quizzes!
We were put through our paces, with questions ranging from collective nouns of birds, to Donald Trump, to African flags, to a music round that had everyone singing along to a series of absolute bangers. Despite some heated debate over some of the answers, the clear and rightful winners were a hybrid team of teachers and parents, who were delighted not just with the result, but also with their Sipsmith goodies, kindly donated by Fiona from our local, The Bell and Crown. Well done to the victors!
The evening also included a very tense game of Heads and Tails, with multiple rounds, which had everyone gripped to the very end - the eventual winner was thrilled with her goodie bag from the Bell and Crown.
The buffet offerings were, as ever, plentiful, with an incredible range of food to suit all tastes, and the well stocked bar was almost cleared out! Thank you so much to Lise and the Honeyrose Bakery for once again providing delicious brownies for desert. They vanished in moments!
The evening raised over £1000 for our school, which is a truly fantastic achievement. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to the evening, but especially to our Quiz master, Jat Sahota; the PTA committee; the student helpers; the site team; Jo Duddy, and all the SLT. It was a huge success, and we were delighted to hear how much it was enjoyed by everyone in attendance.
