BackHistory & Politics A-level trip to the USA
The History department were delighted to take 40 A Level History and Politics students to the USA over half term. We visited New York and Washington DC, with highlights including a guided tour of the UN Headquarters, visits to the Ellis Island Immigration Museum and a whole host of walking tours in both cities! The students were a fantastic group, engaged and enthusiastic throughout, with the good humour even to laugh when we emerged at the top of the Rockefeller Center for ‘glorious NYC views’ to see only … fog. They particularly impressed their teachers with the thoughtful and perceptive questions they asked of our many tour guides. We look forward to taking the next set of 6th Form historians in two years’ time!
