Year 7 Trip to the Ballet
We were very lucky to be offered tickets to the ballet this month. Ten lucky Year 7s, all dressed up in their finest theatre clothing, met at the school for their trip into London. Once there, we had some time to look at the festive lights and walk around the Christmas Market in Leicester Square. At the theatre, the students took their places in the highly-decorated auditorium and waited for the lights to go down.They were then treated to an evening of amazing dance, with astonishing talent and skill. The evening involved two dances; the first was a contemporary piece which showed off the individual talents of the dancers and the second was a new piece based on the story of Coco Chanel. The students, most of whom had never been to the theatre before, were really impressed with the show.
