Insight Visit from Paula Nickolds - Managing Director of John Lewis
We were very fortunate to have Paula Nickolds, Managing Director of John Lewis, visit us last half term. It is not every day that the MD of such a large organisation is able to give their time to come to a school; however, Paula was pleased to be able to speak to some of our students about her journey and to inspire them in their own futures.
Our students were able to listen to her journey and also her own aspirations for the future. She wasted no time in telling students that she did not take delight in the publicity that unfolded when she was employed in her role; instead, she explained that she will be excited when women are regularly appointed to such roles without a fuss! Our students were inspired by her and her journey and hopefully it has given them something to think about for their own futures.
