Chiswick staff are excited to be launching form time reading from September 2019. Each year group will focus on one text per term ranging from popular classics to Carnegie medal winners. We know how important it is to make a positive start to the day and get into the right mood to learn so for half an hour every morning forms will explore their carefully prescribed novel by reading aloud and discussing and recording the vocabulary and inferences within the language. We hope that this daily opportunity will not only improve students' ability to read across their subjects but also encourage them to develop their love of stories beyond the classroom.
