- Jack Petchey Foundation Award Event
On Thursday 14th November all the Jack Petchey Achievement Award winners in West London were invited to a special presentation event at Hounslow.
These pupils were nominated to receive their awards by both staff and their peers because they have displayed outstanding individual achievements. These achievements included:
- Helping others over and above expectations
- Being a good role model
- Showing bravery
- Overcoming a personal challenge
- Volunteering
- Breaking through a personal barrier
The event was well attended and involved an amazing performance from an up and coming singer songwriter. Each pupil received a gold medallion given to them by some special guests which included Councillor Samia Chaudhary, Cabinet Member for Education, Children, Skills and Employment.
In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement Awards ceremony there was an additional chance for some lucky pupil to win a £50 voucher. Once all of our pupils had received their medallions and sat down we heard the fanfare which indicated that Chiswick School was the lucky school to have a winner. We waited with baited breath until it was announced that our very own Grace H was randomly selected to receive this special prize!
All the pupils were amazing and all very worthy of this recognition. We all look forward to next year's award winners!
