- 13 Feb | The Jazz Band at Ark Priory – Performed for Careers Week, explained improvisation, and even had Year 2 students decide mid-song who would solo! [Catch up here]
- 25 Feb | Battle of the Bands – After a nine-year break, the first Chiswick School Battle of the Bands returned with epic hairstyles, face-melting guitar solos, and drum kits that crawled away mid- performance! Huge congratulations to winners Uncle Dynamite (Henry, Avi, and Rotem), who will represent Chiswick at the Hounslow Battle of the Bands on 24 June. [Watch here]
- 26 Feb | She’s Like a Samba – Emma and Melina put on their second solo show at a brand-new venue, the West London Trade Union Club. Their names are rising fast in West London!
- 28 Feb | It Comes in Waves – Harry’s latest solo show, featuring The Musketeers, guest musicians, and many Year 11s enjoying one last (soft) drink before mocks. The first gig at The Duck and Ball—hopefully, the first of many!
- 2 March | Y7 Steel Band Debut – Performed their first-ever solo set at the PTA Car Boot Sale.
- 4 March | University of West London Songwriting Workshop – Students recorded their songs using professional equipment.
- 6 March | Y8 Steel Band at the International Women of Colour in Policing Conference – Opened the event, attended by delegates worldwide, including the Ghanaian Royal Family.
- 7 March | Chiswick Voices at International Women’s Day Coffee Morning – A wonderful event, with hopes for more in the future!
- 11 March | Junior Choir Spring Concert – A canteen headline show featuring music from The Aristocats, Elton John, Billy Joel, and The Barbie Movie. Fantastic solos from Tom, Taira, Darcy, Willow, Alba, Chloe, Maya, Orla, Sarah, and Roxy.
- 22 March | Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 – Chiswick Voices and Chiswick Community Choir joined Hounslow Symphony Orchestra for this monumental, emotional journey from death to life. The performance, featuring a 100-piece orchestra, offstage brass ensemble, and the sports hall’s cathedral-like acoustics, was breathtaking. Huge thanks to the Mayor of Hounslow and MP Andy Slaughter for their support. Watch the full performance here
- 25 March | Nowruz Celebrations – Melina and Mr. Robinson hosted an evening of Persian song, dance, poetry, and drama. The local parish church has even invited Melina and Mojtaba to perform for them! More highlights in the Performing Arts section.
- 26 March | No Refund and Frio at The Duck and Ball – Two encores and self-carried equipment! [Catch up here]
- 27 March | Jazz and Blues Night – The third annual event transformed the hall into Ronnie Scott’s, featuring solos from every instrumentalist on stage. One song even saw an improvised key change on demand! Special mentions (in performance order): Zaria, Harry, Avi, Harry’s Diet Coke, Youssef, the fire alarm, Zaria (again!), Henry, Zack (Sax), Zack (Acrobat), and Roseanna. Watch the full show here
- 2 April | Invasion and Dawn at The City Barge – A mix of classics and new songs, with a standout debut from Year 8’s Maia!
- 4 April | Uncle Dynamite at The George and Devonshire – Closing the term with all-original rock music.
News & Key Dates for Next Term
Congratulations to Harry Robinson (The Brit School), Henry Battrick (The Rhythm Studio), and Zack El Rais (The Rhythm Studio), who have all received offers from these prestigious institutions for next year—a true testament to their exceptional hard work during their time at Chiswick!
We are now an official exam centre for ABRSM, Trinity Classical, and Trinity Rock & Pop. Exams will take place in late June/early July. While we can’t open sign-ups just yet due to unconfirmed dates, you can express your interest here.

- Sunday 13 April, 12:30pm – The Senior Steel Band will perform near Putney Bridge for the Boat Race.
- Tuesday 1 July – Summer Festival
- Sunday 19 July, 5:30pm – Chiswick Voices will perform a solo Evensong at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
