Jake Powell Alumni - Class of 2015

My name is Jake and I graduated from Chiswick in 2015. I went on to study BA History & Archaeology at the University of Leicester, graduating in 2018 with a Second-Class Honours (Upper Division). I then continued at post-graduate level at Leicester, studying MA Urban Conservation graduating in 2019 with a Merit.

 

Currently I am a Town Planner for Leicester City Council, with a specialisation in the historic built environment. My role involves interacting with building contractors, planning agents and property developers to ensure that new buildings are constructed to the highest quality and that the historic environment is protected. I also get to spend half my time walking around the city visiting interesting sites.
